Authentic Austrian cuisine as it should be.
They offer classics like Wiener Schnitzel, Kaiserschmarrn, Marillenpalatschinken (Austrian pancakes with apricot jam) or Fiakergulasch (spicy Austrian goulash).
I had very good Wiener Schnitzel (from veal) with parsley potatoes. (€25.60)
Cheese Spätzle was also great (€18.90)
You definitely got full from both portions (with the schnitzel especially because of the hearty, butter tossed (?) potatoes).
Almdudler is of course also available.
Interior & atmosphere
Rather simple decor, with a strange mix of Austrian cabin feeling (with checkered curtains and wooden window frames) on one side, and modern but cheaply presumptuous furniture on the other.
Relaxed atmosphere. Not loud; normal conversation was easily possible.
Service
Polite service. We didn’t wait long for our food.
Reservation needed?
Didn’t make a reservation on a Friday evening. Just walked in and was able to get a seat for 2 people without any wait.
